A popular way is stand up at one end of the train and tell your horrible story. Stinking lends to your credibility. Some preach. Yesterday some dude was saying something about who you let sit in the front row seat of your life. While I buried myself in my book and tried to look small, some people actually offered up some change. This morning, a disheveled fortyish looking man with three or four plastic bags containing his belongings was able to collect cash just by his downcast appearance.<br /><br />My favorite method, one that must be commended for its sheer brazenness, is practiced by the one dolla' man. While most go for sympathy and guilt, one dolla' man annoys those around until a few cough up a buck or two. He starts at one end of the train and quickly walks back and forth muttering "I homeless, only got a dolla', I homeless, only got a dolla'." He repeats himself until someone offers some cash, then has the audacity to continue muttering "I homeless, only got a dolla'."
